Create Browser Profiles
Browser profiles can be a useful tool to keep separate data when working between multiple organizations. Each browser profile will have its own browser history, saved passwords, and login sessions to services like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Follow the steps below to learn how to create browser profiles in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
Add Profile in Microsoft Edge:
- Navigate to the upper corner of your browser window to select the icon that represents your current profile. It may look like a blank silhouette, a letter, or a custom image you've already added. Selecting this icon will open a drop-down menu.
- Select Manage profile settings. At the top of the drop-down menu, select the gear icon and a new profile settings tab will open.
- Select Add profile.
- Choose Add. A new tab will open with the option to sync your data or create a new profile without your data.
- Sign in to sync your data and connect to an existing account.
- Select Continue.
- Toggle Sign in synchronization to Yes.
- Select Confirm.
Add Profile in Google Chrome:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, select Profile and then Add new profile.
- If you choose to sync to your Google Account, your profile name will automatically be your Account name.
- Choose a name, photo, and color scheme.
If you choose to turn sync on in Chrome with a Google Account for the new profile, your bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings will sync automatically.
